Military: The Toughest of All Jobs
Among the list of bravest persons on earth, there is always more than one military personnel who are at the top of the rank. The job that soldiers do is undoubtedly the most dangerous profession in the world. Their lives are in constant danger as they are facing all the enemies of the state ranging from fearless terrorists to dreaded criminal syndicates. Certainly, work in the military is rough. It is of no wonder that soldiers are the toughest persons we can see. As such, personnel of the armed forces should enjoy all the benefits and social security they accordingly deserve.
The military profession is one of the most honorable of all. They are the servants of the people and the guardians of the state and civilization. Without the military, a nation can never be secured of its independence, sovereignty, and the list goes on. A country will be under constant threat of attack from other states and anarchy will reign for lack of control of internal situation. A well-organized and highly-disciplined armed forces is definitely needed
to make everyone secured of their life, liberty and property.
These responsibilities require each nation to establish a strong military organization. An organization that is highly-disciplined from the top ranking officials to the lowest foot soldiers. In fact, military discipline should be firm an as such this principle is considered as authoritarian but is being followed faithfully and without question by its personnel. Due to this fact, no other organization in the world can match the structure of the armed forces. This kind of discipline is necessary to prevent the soldiers from abusing the powers they possess.
However, the personnels salaries are often just enough for their monthly expenses, thereby leaving them no savings that they could use for emergency situations. Most of the time, military personnel, especially those in the lower ranks, do not have ready money whenever an emergency arises. It is during these times that soldiers need to loan money from banks and other lending institutions. But due to their low wages, some are not able to get loan because of this thing called credit ratings. Their averagely rated pay will not be enough guarantees for banks to lend them money. This situation is even more difficult on the case of former military people and veterans.
It is a good thing that some agencies of the government are willing to guarantee on the loans of not only the active military people, the guarantee also extends to the soldiers families, retirees and veterans. The soldiers really need this guarantee after all of their sacrifices for the nation. They need a good house to reside on and a socially secured family. All of these can be possible only through loans as they do not have ready cash for these.
Truly, the military profession is tough. It is made even tougher by the low pay the soldiers receive. But on the other hand, it is the most gratifying and honorable profession. We should hail our soldiers for the difficult job they are doing for the country.
